How do n8n Academy and Community Forum accounts relate?

Your existing Community Forum progress and badges stay exactly where they are: nothing is removed or transferred. Going forward, Academy course completions are issued as verifiable badges and completion certificates through Accredible instead of forum badges.

They're separate accounts

The n8n Academy (https://learn.n8n.io/) and the n8n Community Forum (https://community.n8n.io/) are two independent systems, each with its own account. Even if you sign up using the same email address on both. Creating an account on one does not create or link an account on the other, and there's currently no way to connect them.

Existing forum badges aren't affected

If you earned badges or completed courses on the Community Forum (including the retired Level 1 and Level 2 text courses), that progress and those badges remain on your forum profile. Course completions on the Academy going forward are handled separately, through Accredible.

Going forward, course badges come from Accredible

Courses completed on the n8n Academy now issue a verifiable badge and completion certificate through Accredible rather than a forum badge. You can view these anytime in your badge wallet at https://badges.n8n.io/. This applies only to courses completed on the Academy going forward; Accredible does not retroactively issue badges for anything completed on the Community Forum.

Progress doesn't carry over between platforms

There's no automatic or manual way to merge or sync learning history between the Community Forum and the Academy. Finishing a course on the Academy won't add a badge to your forum profile, and your forum achievements won't appear on your Academy or Accredible profile. Each system keeps its own record independently.
