How to Rename an n8n Cloud Instance
Understanding Instance Renaming in n8n
Currently, n8n does not allow you to rename an existing cloud instance or change its subdomain after setup. If you need to correct a typo or change the instance name, you will need to create a new instance.
Steps to Create a New Instance
Navigate to n8n.io
Click on Get Started
Follow the registration process to create the new account. (Make sure to verify all the information entered is correct).
Choose a unique subdomain(account name) for your new instance. If the desired subdomain(account name) is unavailable, try a slightly different name.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Transferring Workflows to the New Instance
Once your new instance is set up, you can transfer your workflows from the old instance:
Export your workflows from the current instance. Detailed instructions can be found in the n8n documentation.
Note: To export all your workflows at once from your old instance, you can follow this FAQ article.Import the workflows into your new instance.
Request the old instance deletion.
Additional Considerations
You will need to use a different email address to create the new instance. Once the old instance is deleted, you can change the email address back in the Instance Settings.

All requests that require direct intervention on an n8n cloud account or workspace need to be issued from the account owner's Email address.
